CricLive legal

Privacy, without
the fine-print fog.

This policy explains what information CricLive handles, why it is used, the services involved and the choices available to you.

01

Overview

CricLive is a cricket information app that provides live scores, fixtures, results, standings, teams, player information and match reports. You can use the app without creating an account or giving CricLive your name, phone number or postal address.

No account required. CricLive does not operate a user-account database and does not sell personal information provided directly by users.
02

Information handled by the app

Cricket-data requests

The app requests fixtures, scores, commentary, standings, team details and player information from Cricket Australia services. Like most internet services, the provider may receive standard network information such as your IP address, request time and device or browser information needed to respond and maintain security.

Advertising and consent information

CricLive uses Google AdMob. Depending on your region, device and consent choices, Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, device information, diagnostics and ad interaction data. See Advertising and consent below.

Feedback you choose to send

Selecting Send feedback opens your email app with a draft addressed to us. The draft includes the CricLive version, package name, build mode, locale, generation time and basic device details such as manufacturer, model, Android version, architecture and memory. It does not include a stable device identifier. You can edit or remove any detail before sending, and nothing is sent until you choose to send the email.

Device permissions

The Android app requests internet access so it can retrieve cricket data, load external match reports and request advertisements. It does not request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone or media library.

03

Advertising and consent

CricLive displays banner, native and occasional interstitial ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use information to provide, personalise, measure and protect advertising, subject to your device settings, regional rules and consent choices.

Where required, CricLive uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent before ads are requested. If Google requires a privacy-options entry point for your region, you can revisit your selections in CricLive → Settings → Ad privacy choices.

04

Third-party content and links

Cricket data is retrieved from Cricket Australia’s services. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy practices. You can review the Cricket Australia Privacy Policy.

Full match reports may open in an Android Custom Tab or your external browser. Once an external page is opened, its operator and your browser may process information under their own privacy terms. CricLive is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites.

05

Retention, security and transfers

CricLive does not maintain a user-account database. Feedback emails you send may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to answer the message, diagnose an issue, maintain business records or meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of a feedback email by contacting us, subject to any legal retention requirement.

Google, Cricket Australia, email providers and external websites determine retention for information they process. These providers may process information in countries other than your own. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information we handle directly.

06

Children’s privacy

CricLive is a general-audience sports app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through an account or registration flow. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

07

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or withdrawal of consent. You can also:

  • Review or update available ad choices from CricLive Settings.
  • Reset or limit your Android advertising identifier through device settings.
  • Choose not to send a feedback email or remove its pre-filled details.
  • Stop further app processing by uninstalling CricLive.
  • Contact us to ask about information contained in feedback you sent.
08

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when CricLive’s features, service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or store listing where appropriate.
